aDemo.cfg

aDemo.cfg script.

Demo recorder for making Alice demos

Installation:
Extract and drop the "ademo.cfg"  file into your Alice/Base folder.
Drop the console and type:  exec ademo.cfg

Features:
R=turns on or off the demo recording feature........saves many keystrokes in making demos

Notes: (important reading minicon gets activated)
Because you often have to press the binded key twice to activate most script functions, I have activated the minicon feature for you to confirm the recording has actually started with "ui_minicon 1".  Otherwise you would have no way of knowing it has started. So if you see the minicon appear, you are now recording and told in the minicon what the demo filename will be.
The minicon needs to stay on so that you can tell if you stopped your recording, and therefor remains on for
the forever (even after you quit and then re-run the game).
If it annoys you after your recording sessions:
drop the console and type "ui_minicon 0"

The script performs recording only. Playback demos by dropping the console and typing:
demoxxxx.dm3  (where xxxx it the demo number assigned during record)
Demos get stored in the demo folder.
You may get the "Blackscreen-of-death" after playbacks   DON'T PANIC !!!! -your still alive here...
drop the console and load another map with:     map (mapname)   or use esc to the main menu.

Use the K=coolview feature in the aview.cfg script for interesting demos.

Enjoy,
